Japanese television networks Kansai TV and Fuji TV have announced a remake of the South Korean drama ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’, titled ‘Minamida Min wa Tensai-gata’ (Minamida Min is a Genius). The series is scheduled to premiere on October 19 and will be available for global streaming on Netflix.

Mana Ashida has been cast as the lead, Minamida Minami, a brilliant lawyer with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who navigates social prejudice and professional challenges at a top-tier law firm. To prepare for the role, Ashida has consulted specialists and studied developmental disabilities, noting that the project is a “big challenge”.
