Prime Video has announced a Japanese remake of the South Korean mystery drama ‘Quiz From God’, scheduled for a global release on December 4, 2026.

Set in modern-day Tokyo, the series stars Mamiya Shotaro as Hatsushima Haruto, a former neurosurgeon turned forensic pathologist at the National Forensic Autopsy Center. The character uses his intellect to investigate mysterious deaths involving rare diseases, organized crime, and social issues.

The production is an adaptation of the original CJ ENM and STUDIO DRAGON series, which ran for five seasons. While the Japanese version, directed by Hashizume Shunki, aims to incorporate contemporary Japanese social contexts and a different tone, it intends to maintain the core suspenseful elements of the original production.
