At the WTT China Smash in Beijing, Miwa Harimoto reached the women’s singles semifinals after a comeback victory against Wang Yidi, while Hitomi Sato also advanced to the semifinals by defeating Zhu Sibing.

In the Asian Table Tennis Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, the doubles pairing of Miwa Harimoto and Hina Hayata secured a spot in the final after defeating China’s Chen Yi and Jiang Yiyi. This follows a recent Asian Championship women’s team victory for Japan, where they defeated China 3-2.
