UFC flyweight Jasmine Jasudavicius faced recent professional challenges following a $10,000 fine from the Manitoba Combat Sports Commission. The fine was issued after an unidentified object was seen in her mouth during a match against Karine Silva; Jasudavicius claimed she was chewing peppermint gum and criticized the commission for fining her without testing the object.

Jasudavicius subsequently competed at UFC Edmonton at Rogers Place, where she secured a major upset victory over Erin Blanchfield via unanimous decision. Entering the bout as a significant underdog, Jasudavicius utilized wrestling and grappling to dominate the early stages, recording five takedowns and nearly eight minutes of control time. All three judges scored the women’s flyweight co-main event 29-28 in her favor. While Blanchfield found success with improved striking in the third round, she could not overcome the deficit.

Following the victory, Jasudavicius addressed pre-fight tensions, noting that Blanchfield may have underestimated her, though she confirmed that any disagreements between their respective camps were resolved backstage with “mutual respect.” Jasudavicius has since called for a title shot against flyweight champion Natalia Silva, suggesting a rematch for the UFC 336 event scheduled for January 30, 2027, in Toronto.
