The Jeonnam-Gwangju region has secured 5 billion KRW in national funding to develop AI-driven technology for vaccine manufacturing and quality control. Led by GC Biopharma, the project will utilize mRNA-LNP production infrastructure at the Hwasun plant to implement real-time quality management through artificial intelligence. 

In collaboration with Mokpo National University, Daegu Catholic University, and the Jeonnam Bio Promotion Agency, the initiative aims to analyze manufacturing process variations and establish predictive models for purification. The research and development program, which is part of a larger 7.6 billion KRW effort scheduled through 2030, seeks to strengthen the bio-industry ecosystem within the Hwasun Bio Special Zone.
