On October 2, 2026, a suspect identified as T. V. P. L. (born 2007) allegedly robbed a jewelry store in Lac Nghiep village by feigning interest in a purchase before fleeing with a 2-mace gold ring. 

Following the robbery, Lam Dong provincial police coordinated a search operation. The suspect was apprehended approximately 200km from the crime scene later that night while attempting to flee the province. Authorities seized the stolen property and the vehicle used in the crime.
