A few days later, an Austrian higher court ordered the continuation of the fraud case linked to a €14,000 hotel bill from his 2021 birthday celebration in Tirol, overturning a previous diversion settlement that had required an €18,000 fine. In August, the Austrian Oberlandesgericht scheduled a full trial for Ochsenknecht before the Schwurgericht of the Landesgericht Innsbruck on 1 October.
