JinkoSolar has moved from announcing upcoming technological breakthroughs to launching specific new products and securing international energy storage projects.

Initially, the company prepared to unveil what was described as “unprecedented in the world” solar cell technology at its Global Technology Day 2026. Speculation suggested the company might showcase next-generation “stacked” architecture or advancements in single-layer crystalline silicon cells, alongside its “Sunny 365” integrated photovoltaic-storage solution.

Following these announcements, JinkoSolar launched the Tiger Neo 5.0, an all-black residential solar module utilizing TAC technology to achieve 25.52% efficiency. This 48-cell module, unveiled during the Global Tech Day in Shanghai, employs a hybrid approach combining TOPCon electron-selective contacts with amorphous-silicon heterojunction passivation to reduce surface recombination. Designed for premium rooftop applications, the module features Gapless Cell Array (GCA) technology and Uniform Matrix Interconnection (UMI) to optimize power density and reduce resistive losses. It includes a 40-year product and performance warranty.

The company also expanded its footprint in the energy storage sector by supplying a 330MW/790MWh standalone project in Larissa, Greece.
