Sources: 57. Developments: 2. Speculation emerged regarding a rift between models Joan Smalls and Candice Swanepoel following the 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Observers noted the pair were not photographed together and had reportedly unfollowed each other on social media. Unverified comments attributed to Smalls suggested a betrayal of trust, with one alleged response stating, “I’m not friends with backstabbers.” Subsequent reports linked the tension to former NFL player Tom Brady. According to reports from DeuxMoi, the fallout allegedly stemmed from separate involvements with Brady. It was suggested that Smalls had a private, year-long relationship with Brady, while Swanepoel reportedly began a romance with him in July. While neither model has confirmed the romantic details, Smalls has addressed the tension on social media, making statements regarding “fake people” and a lack of respect, signaling a permanent break in their long-standing friendship. Recent reports from Us Weekly and People corroborate that the retired NFL legend and the South African supermodel have been seeing each other for several months. Both individuals reside in Miami, which reportedly makes frequent meetings more convenient, though they have made efforts to keep the relationship private. Representatives for both Brady and Swanepoel have not issued official comments. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-24: Tom Brady and Candice Swanepoel reportedly dating Former NFL star Tom Brady and Victoria's Secret model Candice Swanepoel are reportedly dating in Miami, according to multiple media reports. 54 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/tom-brady-linked-to-alleged-rift-between-joan-smalls-and-candice-swanepoel ### 2026-10-23: Joan Smalls and Candice Swanepoel face alleged friendship fallout Models Joan Smalls and Candice Swanepoel are rumored to have ended their long-term friendship following alleged betrayals and social media interactions. 5 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/joan-smalls-and-candice-swanepoel-face-alleged-friendship-fallout --- Cite as: Joan Smalls and Candice Swanepoel friendship rift.
