Japanese composer and conductor Joe Hisaishi, known for his work with Studio Ghibli, has been awarded three Guinness World Records for his concert performances.

The records include the most tickets sold by a classical composer at the Tokyo Dome, with 133,453 attendees during his Studio Ghibli Film Concert Tour in July, and the most tickets sold for a classical concert run at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, totaling 45,538 tickets. 

Hisaishi also earned a record for the longest single-run residency by a classical composer at New York’s Radio City Music Hall following a week of performances in August. Following his residency, Hisaishi expressed his gratitude for the support of his global audience.
