Sources: 6. Developments: 2. John Cena has been publicly advocating for WWE to host WrestleMania in London, arguing that the city and its audience have “earned the right” to host the premier event. Speaking on the podcast ‘Off The Menu with Ed Gamble and James Acaster’, Cena cited the energy and passion of the London crowd as a primary motivator. Cena pointed to the upcoming WrestleMania in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as a “proof of concept” for the viability of international hosting. He also clarified that his previous advocacy during the 2023 Money in the Bank event at the O2 was a personal perspective rather than an official company statement. In recent comments on the same podcast, Cena reiterated his belief that London is an ideal international destination, noting that WrestleMania is a major ‘travel to event’ where fans can explore culture alongside wrestling festivities. He expressed hope that his influence might assist in bringing the event to the UK, despite acknowledging he holds no official decision-making power regarding venue selection. Cena further highlighted the upcoming 2027 WrestleMania—the first to be held outside of North America—as a significant ‘proof of concept’ for international expansion. Despite this ongoing advocacy, the Mayor of London’s Press Office has previously indicated that there are currently no specific discussions regarding hosting WrestleMania 2028 in the city. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-17: John Cena advocates for WrestleMania to be held in London John Cena is renewing his push for WWE to bring WrestleMania to London, citing the city's passionate fans and its status as a premier international travel destination. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/john-cena-advocates-for-wwe-wrestlemania-to-be-held-in-london ### 2026-10-15: John Cena advocates for WWE to host WrestleMania in London John Cena is advocating for WWE to bring WrestleMania to London, arguing the city has earned the right to host the major event following successful international expansions. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/john-cena-advocates-for-wwe-to-host-wrestlemania-in-london --- Cite as: John Cena advocacy for WrestleMania in London.
