Luis Campos, the sporting advisor for Paris Saint-Germain, recently detailed his efforts to restructure a disorganized squad following his contract extension through 2030. A central part of this strategy was the recruitment of midfielder João Neves, whom Campos identified as a high-potential talent capable of evolving into a vital ‘A1’ status player.

However, recent reports indicate that Neves is experiencing a decline in both performance and playing time under manager Luis Enrique. After initially serving as a regular starter, Neves has seen a statistical decrease in his ability to break defensive lines and a reduction in offensive contributions. This shift in form has resulted in a lower position within the club’s hierarchy, evidenced by limited minutes in recent major fixtures.
