Actor Josh Brolin has discussed his decision to decline the role of Hal Jordan in the HBO series ‘Lanterns’. While negotiations were initially held for the part, the role was eventually taken by Kyle Chandler.

Brolin indicated that the timing of the offer may have influenced his decision, noting it occurred shortly after the cancellation of his series ‘Outer Range’. He described the cancellation of that series as “heartbreaking” and suggested that decision-makers “had a gold mine in their hands.” Despite passing on the DC Universe project, Brolin expressed support for the production and its cast.
