Exeter Chiefs director of rugby Rob Baxter has indicated that tighthead prop Josh Iosefa-Scott is likely to depart the club for France when his contract expires next summer. While the club has offered a new contract, Baxter noted the 30-year-old has received a significant offer in France, specifically linked to the Provence region.

Baxter described the potential departure as the ‘natural recycling of the game.’ Subsequent reports indicate a transfer tug-of-war is underway, as Exeter has received a “very good offer” from France and is entering negotiations to retain the English-qualified player. The club has expressed a willingness to make financial adjustments to secure Iosefa-Scott, who has become a key figure in the lineup following his arrival in 2021.
