Club América reportedly expressed interest in Tigres UANL midfielder Juan Brunetta to strengthen their squad for the Clausura 2027 season, following the expected departure of Raphael Veiga. Market valuations for the Argentine player were estimated between five and ten million dollars.

However, Brunetta has since signed a contract extension with Tigres that secures his position with the club until 2030. The extension is intended to facilitate his path toward naturalizing as a Mexican citizen, which could potentially allow him to represent the Mexican national team.
