Former world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero has indicated his intention to return to professional tennis coaching, potentially as early as 2027. Following the conclusion of his coaching partnership with Carlos Alcaraz in late 2025, Ferrero initially focused on spending time with his family.

In recent developments, Ferrero released a new book titled ‘Winning Mental, Beyond Motivation, Practicing the Habit of Discipline’, which reflects on his career and his success with Alcaraz. While he is currently focusing on other projects and his academy, he remains open to returning to the ATP tour if a “truly exciting” role becomes available.

Ferrero has addressed speculation regarding potential new players, specifically mentioning Jannik Sinner. He noted that while his preference would be to work with Alcaraz, a collaboration with Sinner would represent a significant “professional challenge.”
