Slovak actor Juraj Kukura has shared reflections on his life and legacy in connection with an upcoming documentary film directed by Peter Kerekes.

Kukura detailed the hardships of political persecution in former Czechoslovakia, noting that he was sentenced to three and a half years in prison and faced the confiscation of his property. He described the profound personal loss of memories and family photographs during his exile, as well as being expelled from various institutions throughout his life.

In more recent reflections, the actor discussed his preparations for mortality, including the design of his own tombstone. He expressed a preference for a quiet funeral rather than grand speeches. The documentary, which is being filmed across several locations including Prague, Bratislava, and Košice, is expected to be released next year and may include elements of his funeral as part of the retrospective.
