Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert has faced significant scrutiny following a 24-9 loss to the Los Angeles Rams. During that game, Herbert threw two interceptions, contributing to a season where he reportedly leads the NFL with 10 interceptions and ranks last among qualified players in Quarterback Rating (QBR).

Commentators and players have critiqued his performance. Emmanuel Acho questioned Herbert’s decision-making and ability to read defenses, while Rams safety Quentin Lake remarked that Herbert appeared uncomfortable, stating he was “throwing deli meat” and seemed to be “seeing ghosts” in the pocket.

Despite the Chargers holding an 0-7 record and Herbert leading the league in interception rate at 4.7 percent, Houston Texans defensive end Will Anderson Jr. offered praise. Anderson described Herbert as a respectable player with a big arm and notable mobility, noting the quality of the Chargers' offensive line and running backs.
