Former players and analysts have raised concerns regarding the performance and squad structure of Juventus following recent matches.

In mid-September, Michelangelo Rampulla criticized the club’s composition after a defeat to Sassuolo. He described the match as “strange” and argued that an overreliance on foreign players has weakened the team’s cohesion, suggesting a need for a stronger Italian core. He also specifically criticized the performance of striker Woltemade.

By October, following a draw against Cagliari, analysts Massimo Orlando and Massimo Bonini identified further issues. Orlando noted a lack of “phenomenal” individual players capable of securing wins, while Bonini pointed to “tactical confusion” and poor positioning. Both analysts suggested that the current squad lacks the necessary balance and decisive talent despite significant spending.

In mid-October, tactical criticism intensified. Analyst Massimo Mauro observed that under manager Luciano Spalletti, Juventus struggles against compact defenses due to a lack of creative playmakers in the attacking third. Critics noted an overreliance on wide players who fail to provide effective service to central strikers, compounded by the absence of key players like Kenan Yildiz. Additionally, Alessio Tacchinardi highlighted mental and character deficiencies, suggesting the squad lacks the grit and leadership necessary to dominate matches, specifically noting the importance of players such as Federico Gatti.
