Kaiser Reef has initiated several development and exploration activities at its Maldon gold project in Victoria, Australia.

The company commenced underground development at the Union Hill gold mine using a jumbo drill rig to establish a new Northern drill drive. This work aims to provide access for testing underexplored reef systems, including the Eaglehawk, Linscott’s, Ladies, and Sailor’s Reefs. Managing director Brad Valiukas described the Maldon project as a “district-scale gold opportunity” with significant underexplored historical mines. The project is situated within the Victorian Golden Triangle, a region that has historically produced 1.75 million ounces of gold at an average grade of 28 grams per tonne.

Following the establishment of the drill drive, Kaiser Reef launched an underground diamond drilling campaign at Union Hill. This program is designed to complement an ongoing 4,350-metre surface drilling campaign, with initial phases focusing on the Linscott’s and Eaglehawk lodes.

Concurrently, Kaiser Reef identified an initial inferred mineral resource within historical tailings at its A1 gold mine. Following a 28-hole air-core drilling program, the stockpile is estimated to contain approximately 3,100 ounces of gold from 77,427 tonnes of material grading 1.25 grams per tonne. Metallurgical testing has indicated gold recovery rates exceeding 80 per cent. The company intends to process these tailings at its Porcupine Flats plant, which has an annual capacity of 200,000 tonnes, to supplement current low-grade ore processing. Further exploration continues at the Maldon North prospect, where a soil survey identified an 850-metre-long gold trend.
