Sources: 10. Developments: 2. Former Vice President Kamala Harris has engaged in several political activities following her loss in the 2024 election. She announced an expanded midterm campaign tour scheduled for late October, which includes stops in Mississippi, New Hampshire, and Wisconsin to support Democratic nominees for governor and U.S. Senate. Her itinerary includes discussions on reproductive care and abortion rights in New Hampshire. During an interview on the ‘Baby, This is Keke Palmer’ podcast, Harris advocated for significant institutional reforms. She proposed expanding the Supreme Court by adding more justices to reinforce constitutional principles and called for Electoral College reform to increase the weight of the popular vote. She also expressed support for pursuing statehood for Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico, should residents desire it. Legal expert Y. David Scharf criticized these proposals, stating that such moves could set a ‘dangerous precedent’ by attempting to rewrite institutional rules. While Harris has engaged in local campaigning, such as supporting Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley in Wisconsin, she remains undecided regarding a potential 2028 presidential run. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-14: Kamala Harris proposes Supreme Court expansion and Electoral College reform Kamala Harris has called for expanding the Supreme Court, reforming the Electoral College, and pursuing statehood for Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C. 7 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/kamala-harris-proposes-supreme-court-expansion-and-electoral-college-reform ### 2026-10-14: Kamala Harris expands midterm campaign tour to include three states Former Vice President Kamala Harris is expanding her midterm campaign tour, with upcoming stops in Mississippi, New Hampshire, and Wisconsin to support Democratic candidates. 3 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/kamala-harris-expands-midterm-campaign-tour-to-include-three-states --- Cite as: Kamala Harris political activities and policy proposals.
