The project aims to reduce the mine’s reliance on volatile diesel fuel costs and is expected to decrease annual CO2 emissions by approximately 78,750 tonnes.

This on-site microgrid is designed to mitigate regional power grid instability and reduce operational risks associated with transmission failures in the Central African Copperbelt. By providing continuous power, the facility allows for uninterrupted metallurgical processing and minimizes costly downtime for the mining operations.
