Police in Karawang, West Java, are investigating a severe physical assault of a 3-year-old boy by two minors, aged 9 and 13. The incident occurred near the Simpang Jomin railway bridge, resulting in serious injuries to the victim, including facial and chest trauma and lacerations caused by sharp objects.

While the suspects were initially detained for questioning, Karawang Police spokesperson Ipda Muh Asim later stated that the minors will not be detained due to their age. Instead, they have been placed in social foundations in Cileungsi, Bogor, and Karawang. The investigation continues under Law Number 35 of 2014 regarding Child Protection.
