The Kashima Antlers have experienced contrasting developments in late October 2026. On the pitch, the club secured a 3-0 victory against the Pohang Steelers in the AFC Champions League Elite, marking their third consecutive win in the tournament stage. Goals in the match were scored by Ryota Koike, Crovattic, and Matheus Bueno. However, the team also faced setbacks, as defender Rikuto Hirose sustained a right thigh injury early in the match against Pohang Steelers.

Off the pitch, the club faces scrutiny regarding supporter misconduct during a J1 league home defeat against Kashiwa Reysol on October 24. A supporter group identified as “IN. FIGHT” allegedly blocked the exit to the away area, trapping Kashiwa supporters inside. This group has a documented history of disruptive behavior, including incidents in 2021 and 2023. As of late October, the club and its president have not issued a formal statement, leading to public calls for indefinite stadium bans or the dissolution of the group.
