Kastamonu University students and faculty have engaged in several environmental awareness and sustainability initiatives.

In late September, the university’s Nature, Sport, and Addiction Combat Club organized a 15-kilometer nature hike at Şehit Şerife Bacı Nature Park and the Kadı Dağı Training Center. Supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the event focused on increasing environmental awareness and educating participants on local flora, such as Turkish and black pine species.

Following this, students and academics from the Rafet Vergili Vocational School conducted a campus-wide cleaning initiative titled “Green Campus, Clean Future.” Organized through an Environmental Pollution course, the activity involved collecting waste across campus to promote ecological awareness and the importance of nature conservation.
