The construction of a new 4.6-kilometer tram line in Katowice, connecting Brynów to Kostuchna, has progressed through the bidding phase. Initially, Budimex was identified as the top bidder for the project, which included the expansion of the road system and the creation of a transfer hub.

By late October, the project reached a milestone with the formal selection of Budimex to execute the contract. The project is valued at 356.8 million PLN and is designed to reduce travel time to the city center to approximately 25 minutes. The development will feature a new transfer center in Kostuchna with parking for over 120 cars and 90 bicycles, integrated bicycle paths, and six pairs of stops.
