Sources: 4. Developments: 2. Kawasaki Heavy Industries is advancing its Kaleido humanoid robot project, which has been under development since 2015. The company is working toward making the robots commercially operational by 2030 for use in factories, warehouses, and emergency response scenarios. To achieve this, Kawasaki is developing the Kaleido 9 model for industrial applications, such as transporting components and performing repetitive tasks. The company is also integrating physical AI from Japanese developer Noetra to transition the robots from remote human control toward full autonomy. This technological evolution aims to enable the robots to eventually handle complex manufacturing duties like product assembly. Additionally, Kawasaki is collaborating with Nvidia to improve the precision of autonomous robotic movements and is engaging with customers in the semiconductor and automotive sectors. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-08: Kawasaki develops Kaleido 9 humanoid robot for industrial use Kawasaki Heavy Industries is developing the Kaleido 9, a humanoid robot designed for industrial use in factories and warehouses, with a target commercial release by 2030. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/kawasaki-develops-kaleido-9-humanoid-robot-for-industrial-use ### 2026-10-05: Kawasaki Heavy Industries to develop autonomous humanoid robots using Noetra AI Kawasaki Heavy Industries plans to deploy its Kaleido humanoid robots by 2030, using Noetra’s physical AI to transition from remote-controlled tasks to fully autonomous industrial operations. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/kawasaki-heavy-industries-to-develop-autonomous-humanoid-robots-using-noetra-ai --- Cite as: Kawasaki Heavy Industries humanoid robot development.
