The Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality has undertaken several reforestation efforts to expand the city’s green infrastructure and promote environmental awareness.

Initial efforts included the planting of 1,150 saplings across the city and the Bünyan district. This involved organized events along the Kayseri-Malatya Boulevard and near the D300 highway, involving local officials, students, and community organizations.

Following these efforts, the municipality established the Fire Department 100th Year Memorial Forest near the Sarımsaklı Dam. To commemorate the centenary of the local fire service, 500 saplings were planted by fire department personnel and their families as part of the ‘Greener Kayseri’ vision.
