Officials from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation and the Hyderabad City Police conducted inspections of a five-kilometre stretch around KBR Park to review a proposed one-way traffic system. The inspection focused on addressing bottlenecks at key intersections and identified the need for road-widening, civil works, and improved pedestrian safety measures.

Following these preparations, the Hyderabad Traffic Police announced that a permanent one-way traffic system around KBR Park would take effect on August 18. This change is intended to last approximately 18 months to support the Hyderabad City Innovative and Transformative Infrastructure (H-CITI) Project, which includes the construction of seven flyovers and underpasses.

To manage the transition, authorities planned round-the-clock enforcement for the initial period and implemented specific lane realignments and diversions to accommodate reduced carriageway widths caused by ongoing construction.
