Keanu Reeves is set to star in and produce the film adaptation of ‘Kill Current: A Jon Hendricks Thriller’, based on an upcoming novel by Oliver Lowe. The project is being developed through Two Dragonflies, a new production banner founded by Reeves and Alexandra Grant.

The film, which is scheduled for a 2027 release, follows Jon Hendricks, a burned-out CIA officer who returns to action to avenge a lost protégé. The plot is described as a high-stakes, globe-spanning thriller involving themes such as technological warfare, semiconductors, and global supply chains.

The Arena, an independent studio founded by Erik Feig, has acquired the rights to the property and will finance and produce the film. Notably, the film adaptation is moving forward ahead of the publication of the source material, which is expected in May 2027.
