Kenya is continuing its efforts to expand healthcare workforce and infrastructure through localized recruitment and national strategic projects. At the county level, Nyeri has announced the recruitment of over 140 permanent health positions, while Mombasa has completed the hiring of 286 new health workers.

National initiatives include the establishment of 315 Primary Care Networks across 47 counties and the digitization of over 100,000 Community Health Promoters. Infrastructure development continues through a collaboration between the Ministry of Defence and Homa Bay County to expand the local Teaching and Referral Hospital. Additionally, in Kisumu, the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) and government partners are preparing to operationalize the 200-bed Sheikh Zayed Hospital in Holo. Completed in 2013 with funding from the UAE-based Dar Al Ber Society, the facility has faced delays since its 2017 commissioning; a joint committee now oversees a phased opening, with an outpatient department expected by December.

Specialized sensory healthcare remains a priority. The CBM Vision Impact Scale-Up Project Phase Two, funded by CBM and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, targets 1.27 million people in Mombasa, Nakuru, and Kakamega counties to provide eye, ear, and hearing services, including cataract surgeries and training for over 3,000 personnel.

Furthermore, Kenya is advancing cochlear implantation services for children through a medical partnership with Morocco. Supported by the Princess Lalla Asmaa Foundation, the program aims to build local expertise and increase access to transformative hearing care.
