Kevin Diks, an Indonesian national team player, was appointed vice-captain of the German Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach for the 2026/2027 season. He previously served as the club’s first Indonesian captain during a German Cup match against TSV Schott Mainz.

Following a 3-4 Bundesliga defeat against Mainz, in which Diks served as captain but missed a penalty, he has rejoined the Indonesia national team. The match was noted for internal tension after substitute Shuto Machino took a second penalty instead of Diks. Diks, who had previously missed recent international duties due to club commitments, has arrived to prepare for the FIFA ASEAN Cup 2026.
