Developments: 2. The Kia Sonet is undergoing significant price reductions in the Vietnamese automotive market. For three consecutive months, dealership prices have trended downward to stimulate demand during the year-end shopping season. In Northern Vietnam, the entry-level 1.5L AT version, which launched in September 2025 at 499 million VND, has seen prices drop to approximately 436 million VND. This represents a total decrease of roughly 63 million VND since its release. While the official listed price on the Kia Vietnam website is 450 million VND, various dealers are offering these lower promotional rates. Other trims, including the Deluxe and Luxury versions, are receiving direct incentives from THACO of up to 12 million VND. Despite these price cuts, the Kia Sonet has maintained a strong sales lead in the subcompact SUV segment. In September 2026, the model sold 653 units, outpacing competitors such as the Suzuki Fronx and Hyundai Venue. Total sales for the Sonet in Vietnam reached 5,792 units during the first nine months of 2026. ## Timeline ### 2026-10-22: Kia Sonet prices drop in Vietnam to 436 million VND Kia Sonet prices in Vietnam have fallen for the third straight month, with the 1.5L AT version now starting at 436 million VND to boost competitiveness in the compact SUV segment. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/kia-sonet-prices-drop-in-vietnam-to-436-million-vnd ### 2026-10-20: Kia Sonet prices drop in Vietnam as sales lead competitors Kia Sonet prices in Vietnam have dropped for the third straight month, with the base 1.5L AT model now offered as low as 436 million VND to boost year-end sales. 2 sources. https://clstr.news/cluster/kia-sonet-prices-drop-in-vietnam-as-sales-lead-competitors --- Cite as: Kia Sonet pricing trends in Vietnam.
