In the United Kingdom, more than seven million 10p coins bearing the King’s portrait have entered circulation to meet increased demand for the denomination. These coins feature a capercaillie bird on the reverse side as part of a collection inspired by British flora and fauna.

In Canada, the Bank of Canada has unveiled a new vertical $20 banknote featuring the King. Governor Tiff Macklem described the note as ‘striking, symbolic and secure,’ highlighting advanced security features designed to combat counterfeiting. The design process cost approximately $6 million, with each note costing an additional $0.05 to print due to enhanced security measures. The new currency is expected to enter circulation gradually starting in late February 2027.
