Škoda is pursuing two distinct strategies for the Indian sedan market. The company plans to reintroduce the luxury Superb sedan by early 2027, utilizing a 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine imported as a completely built unit from Bratislava. Due to import duties, this model is expected to cost between 55,000 and 60,000 euros, significantly higher than European pricing.

In contrast, Škoda is also updating the Slavia, a sedan manufactured locally in India on the MQB-A0-IN platform. This update includes redesigned LED lighting, a new eight-speed automatic transmission for the 1.0 TSI engine, and a rear seat massage function. While the Superb serves as a high-end import, the Slavia follows a ‘produced in India, for India’ strategy and is exported to markets in Vietnam, the Middle East, and Africa.
