Koei Tecmo has expanded its historical strategy and action offerings centered on China’s Three Kingdoms period. In September 2026, the company released ‘Romance of the Three Kingdoms 14 with Power-Up Kit Heritage Edition’, a definitive version marking the series’ 40th anniversary. This edition, developed by a Tianjin-based team, introduced new features such as a ‘military intelligence’ system and an officer cultivation mechanism.

Following this, Koei Tecmo and Omega Force announced ‘Dynasty Warriors 3: Complete Edition Remastered’. This revival of an early 2000s title is based on the Xtreme Legends edition and features graphical revisions. The remastered game is scheduled for release on October 1, 2026, across multiple platforms including PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
