Koenigsegg has unveiled the CCGT1, a limited-edition hypercar designed as a road-legal tribute to the company’s original CCGT racing prototype from the mid-2000s. The original project was abandoned following changes to FIA GT1 homologation regulations.

Based on the CC850, the CCGT1 features a redesigned carbon fiber body, retaining only the doors and removable roof from its predecessor. The vehicle is powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine capable of producing 1,280 hp on standard fuel and up to 1,600 hp when using E85 biofuel. It is engineered for both road and track use, utilizing a nine-speed Light Speed Transmission and an advanced aerodynamic package.

In addition to the new production model, the original CCGT prototype has undergone renovation by the Koenigsegg Legend division to allow it to compete in historical GT1 racing categories. All 70 units of the new CCGT1 were reportedly allocated prior to its public debut.
