A Koleje Dolnośląskie train traveling from Szklarska Poręba to Wrocław experienced a 40-minute delay on August 23 due to the failure of all onboard toilets. 

Spokesperson Bartłomiej Rodak stated the toilets were rendered unusable following improper use by passengers, likely caused by them being “intentionally clogged with large amounts of paper towels.” To manage the situation, staff requested that passengers signal their need to use a restroom, resulting in unscheduled, extended stops at larger stations to allow access to station facilities. One passenger reported that crew members even suggested to a young boy that “running into the bushes would be the fastest option.”
