Tümosan Konyaspor has experienced a difficult start to the Süper Lig season, characterized primarily by a lack of offensive productivity. During the first six weeks of the season, the club managed to score only one goal, a performance that contrasted sharply with league leaders like Fenerbahçe.

By the seventh match, the situation intensified as the club recorded only one victory, four losses, and two draws. While the team has maintained defensive discipline, the inability to score—with only one goal in the three most recent league matches—has led to increased pressure. This lack of attacking intent has caused frustration among fans regarding player motivation and conditioning. In response, head coach İlhan Palut apologized for the results and requested patience from supporters, acknowledging that the team has not yet met expectations for exciting play.

Following a recent defeat against Diyarbakır, the club’s struggles have expanded to include squad deficiencies and financial instability. President Ömer Atiker acknowledged that management, technical staff, and players all share responsibility for the current situation. While Atiker defended the club against perceived injustices regarding referee decisions, he noted the need to address on-field deficiencies, specifically a lack of attacking depth.

Compounding these sporting issues, reports indicate Konyaspor is ranked 32nd on a UEFA list regarding the most indebted football clubs. The club now views its upcoming match against Gençlerbirliği as a critical turning point.
