Korona Kielce head coach Jacek Zieliński initially defended the club’s rebuilding process following poor performances, despite significant summer investments exceeding 6 million euros. Zieliński argued that the team required more time to achieve cohesion and consistency.

Following a 1:6 defeat against Lech Poznań in the 11th round of the PKO BP Ekstraklasa, Zieliński was removed from his position. During his tenure, which began on August 7, 2024, the team played 76 Ekstraklasa matches, recording 26 wins, 24 draws, and 26 losses. In a farewell message, Zieliński expressed gratitude to the fans, players, coaching staff, and management.

Former player Robert Kolendowicz has been appointed as the new head coach, signing a contract through June 2027 with an option for a two-year extension. Kolendowicz, who most recently coached Pogoń Szczecin, stated his intention to improve the team’s defensive play and meet the club’s high ambitions.

Upon officially taking over, Kolendowicz noted satisfaction with intensive training sessions and high levels of player motivation. He emphasized a focus on the future rather than recent history as the team prepares for an upcoming match against GKS Katowice. Kolendowicz also indicated strong confidence in goalkeeper Xavier Dziekoński.
