In Kynšperk nad Ohří, a historic 63-meter covered wooden footbridge has reopened to pedestrians following a year of reconstruction. The project, costing approximately 24 million CZK, experienced a three-month delay caused by high water levels in the Ohře river, prolonged frost, and required technological breaks. 

While the bridge is accessible for walking, a formal ceremonial opening is expected in September or October. Full access for cyclists and boaters remains pending as the contractor completes final tasks, such as installing railings and terrain adjustments. Currently, cyclists must use a road bridge detour or walk across the structure.
