The “L” hand gesture, associated with President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, has appeared in various public contexts. In October, singer Luan Santana was observed making the gesture during a concert in Brasília. During the performance, the singer stated, “May our country be in good hands in the coming months,” leading to fan interpretations of political support.

In November, First Lady Rosângela da Silva, known as Janja, shared a social media post featuring images of Christ the Redeemer and the Statue of Liberty making the gesture. This post followed the midterm elections in the United States. The First Lady’s actions drew criticism from Federal Deputy Nikolas Ferreira, who commented on her lack of common sense.
