Following the death of longtime bassist Jennifer Finch due to a brain tumor, the American alternative rock band L7 announced that Janis Tanaka will rejoin the group. Tanaka, who previously played with the band between 1999 and 2001, returned to the lineup with Finch’s blessing.

In conjunction with the lineup change, the band released ‘Loma Linda’, their first new music in three years. The single was created from unfinished recordings dating back to approximately 2003. Band member Donita Sparks noted that the track was completed by re-recording vocals with new lyrics and adding instrumentation.

The band is moving forward with “The Last Hurrah” farewell tour, which is scheduled to begin on October 6 in San Diego.
