The municipality of La Laguna has implemented several urban infrastructure projects to improve accessibility and public facilities near its historic center.

In mid-September, the City Council opened a new parking facility near La Vega Park. The site includes 37 spaces, featuring provisions for conventional vehicles, motorcycles, and persons with reduced mobility, as well as eight spots equipped with charging points for electric or hybrid vehicles.

Later in the month, the Department of Works, Infrastructure, and Accessibility installed 30 new cast iron benches along the Camino de las Peras recreation route. Mayor Luis Yeray Gutiérrez noted these rest zones were intended to complement the natural environment. The benches were selected for their accessibility features, including backrests and armrests to assist individuals with reduced mobility.
