The Municipal Government of San Juan del Río has inaugurated a new lactation space titled ‘Un Espacio que Abraza la Maternidad’ (A Space that Embraces Motherhood) at the Ciudad Vive Oriente facilities.

Judith Ortiz Monroy, head of the Secretariat of Women, stated that the facility is free of charge and accessible to women without requiring formal paperwork. The space is intended to provide a “dignified, safe, and hygienic environment” for women who are breastfeeding or using formula. This location joins two existing lactation spaces operating at the Secretariat of Women and the Integral Rehabilitation Center (CRI).
