Livestock and horse breeders in Almonte have called for institutional dialogue following restrictions on accessing the Doñana marshes. The National Association of Marismeño Livestock Breeders reported difficulties entering the ‘marisma gallega’ area in Hinojos, with association president Diego Díaz criticizing an “excessive deployment” of security forces that prevented breeders from reaching their animals.

In response, the Almonte City Council has expressed support for the breeders, suggesting the situation should have been managed through “normality, dialogue, and knowledge of the livestock reality of Doñana.” The Council intends to convene the Doñana Participation Council to clarify the regulations used to limit access.

Separately, the Almonte City Council has launched an initiative to observe deer rutting in the El Rocío marshes near the Doñana Natural Space. This program, organized in observance of World Tourism Day, involves guided walks to promote environmental heritage through the observation of local wildlife.
