Copa Airlines is expanding its direct flight frequency between Panama and Salta, Argentina, beginning in early February. The airline will add a fourth weekly flight to the route, which currently operates on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

This expansion is intended to boost receptive tourism in the Salta province and improve connectivity for local residents to over 85 destinations across North America, Central America, the Caribbean, and South America via the Panama hub. Manuela Arancibia, the Minister of Tourism and Sports, stated that the increased connectivity is intended to promote the province’s local production and services to a global audience.
