The Latin American plastic and manufacturing sectors have demonstrated significant commercial activity through major regional trade fairs. 

In Joinville, Brazil, the 13th Interplast trade fair concluded with approximately 35,000 visitors and 400 exhibitors. The event projected the generation of R$ 600 million in business over a 12-month period, drawing international participation from 35 countries, including China, the United States, Germany, and Italy.

Following this, the Expo Nacional Ferretera 2026 in Guadalajara, Mexico, highlighted regional industrial expansion and international trade partnerships. Tramontina de México announced the expansion of its domestic operations via a new plant in Lerma. Additionally, the ‘Think Plastic Brazil’ program, a partnership between ApexBrasil and the Instituto Nacional do Plástico, brought a delegation of 16 Brazilian companies to the exhibition to utilize Mexico as a gateway to North American markets.
