RFS has moved significantly closer to securing the Tonybet Latvian Football Higher League championship title. Following a 4-2 comeback victory against Jelgava—where Darko Lemajič scored twice, alongside goals from Stefan Panič and Rostan Ndjiki—RFS reclaimed the top position in the standings with 77 points after 31 matches.

By the 33rd round, RFS increased its lead to 83 points after a 2-0 win over Tukums 2000, with Mārtiņš Ķigurs scoring both goals. The club remained the frontrunner ahead of Riga, which held 79 points.

In the 34th round, RFS secured a 3-0 victory against Super Nova, featuring two goals from Žiga Lipuščeks and one from Darko Lemajičs. This win brought RFS to 86 points after 34 matches. Under these standings, RFS could mathematically secure the title if Riga loses to Grobiņa.
