Following a narrow defeat to Trowbridge in their opening week, Launceston head coach Steve Perry announced several squad changes for their Regional One South West match against Brixham. These adjustments included the first start for Dan Goldsmith and the return of half-backs George Hillson and James Tucker.

Launceston subsequently secured their first victory under Perry’s leadership, defeating Brixham 38-31. While Brixham scored first, Launceston responded with tries from Sheldon Higgins, Archie Doidge, and George Harris.
